It has been an amazing year thanks to our incredible clients and colleagues. We had a wonderful time working with so many great people as we helped with your website, logo, and branding needs.
For us, as with many of you, 2013 was a year of change. WordPress emerged as the clear cut winner in the battle for the best content management system (CMS) and became our web design platform of choice. We converted our own Oasis Interactive website to WordPress and many of your sites as well. We couldn’t be happier with the change as we have found that content updates are so much easier for us and for our clients.
We also implemented a new client relationship management tool (CRM) called Insightly that we love! This system has free and subscription based plans (the free plan is great), It helps us manage all of our contacts, calendar, sales pipeline, and projects. We are not sure how we survived without this tool and would highly recommend it to any company looking for an affordable CRM. (Note: the reporting still leaves a little to be desired, but they are constantly improving the product.)
Our other big change was moving the business out of our home and into a commercial office space. This has been such an exciting change. We love having a place where our clients are always welcome. Our new office is located in the Plantation Business Center (6126 W. State St. Boise, ID 83703) which gives us access to two large training/meeting rooms and a receptionist from 9-5. Some of you made it out for our Open House, but for those of you who couldn’t make it we would love to have you stop by sometime and say hi.
So what new things can you expect for 2014? Our website is still a work in progress, and we plan to add great new tools such as a help desk ticketing system. This will allow you to submit your update and support needs online and then track the work being done on your case. We also plan on utilizing our new conference room to hold training classes on WordPress, E-commerce, etc. (If there is a class you would like to see let us know.)
Again, we are so thankful to those who have become and remain part of the Oasis family as well as our vendors and colleagues who lend their support. We couldn’t do this without all of you. Thank you for an amazing 2013!
Looking forward to a great 2014 and wishing you blessings, prosperity, and health in the New Year.
